Use the Madrid Protocol This international treaty allows businesses to obtain and manage their international trademark registrations in a streamlined and cost-effective way. You can file a single international application in one language with WIPO. Comply with formal requirements WIPO will check that your application complies with all formal requirements, such as contact details, image quality, and payment of fees. Claim priority rights If you register your trademark internationally under the Madrid Protocol, you can claim priority based on the date of your original application in your home country. Register in the foreign market You can register your trademark in the foreign market or markets where you plan to market your goods and/or services.
